Xapity Notification Activity

Xapity Notification Activity enables Email Notifications to be sent directly from any Microsoft System Center Service Manager (SCSM) activity workflow on a Change Request (CR), Release Record (RR) or Service Request (SR). With Xapity Notification Activity, email notifications can have attachments, external and related recipients and can use Notification Templates.

Having the ability to trigger Notification Emails directly from the SCSM activity workflow gives more control and flexibility. Subscriptions in Service Manger can be difficult to find the correct trigger point and can be difficult to maintain. Adding a Xapity Notification Activity directly into a activity workflow allows you more control over who and when the Email Notification is sent to.

Send Email Notifications from any SCSM Activity Workflow

The Xapity Notification Activity adds the ability to send Email Notifications from any Microsoft System Center (SCSM) workflow. This dramatically extends the flexibility of SCSM workflows, helps provide a great experience for Users and Analysts and reduces the need for complex subscriptions.

Use Service Manager Notification Templates

The Xapity Notification Activity uses the standard SCSM Notification Templates available for subscriptions in SCSM. They run in the context of the parent Work Item where most of the useful data is.

Add Attachments to Notifications

The Xapity Notification Activity can add multiple attachments to the Notification Template. This is great for Service Requests where reference or setup guides can be emailed to the user who lodged the SR.

Related Recipients

Add related users such as Affected User, Assigned To User, Created By User. Any user that is related to the parent Work Item can be a related recipient.

External Recipients

The Xapity Notification Activity can send email to any recipient and not just those related to the parent Work Item. Email addresses of external recipients can be typed in or chosen from users already registered in Service Manager.

View Output Details

Once the Xapity Notification Activity has run successfully it will display details on the Output tab of the Activity. This will show the related recipients the notification was sent to, the other recipients, subject, date and time.

Available in all Languages

Xapity Notification Activity is available in all languages supported by System Center Service Manager. Interface text can be further customised by SCSM administrators.

Notification Activity
